topographic hues

smitten with these lovely illustrations, and the topographic linear patterns to inspired print and surface texture.

thinking pink

more inspiration as the brightest shades of pink are definitely having their "moment" this spring.

popsicle hues

it was just "one of those moments."

in a flurry of pinning, i noticed i had pinned several images of popsicles. each image for different reasons, but there was an undeniable thread that was bringing a trend to surface.

my fascination with these popsicle hues are tied to the fact that they have a crystalized quality to them, and a depth to the hues from an opaque to transparent ice quality. the play of the crystalized moisture brings interest in considering summer hues. from the pop of clear teal, to the rich swirls of citrus hues ... the popsicle offers summertime inspiration to leapfrog surface design interest to bold palettes.

hue angle

love the concept of chroma drenched brights creating a random linear pattern. a combination of indigenous angular patterns interrupted with unexpected bold lines.

the studio

the big moving day finally arrived and we are moved into the new studio!

this Instagram is from when i unpacking ... all the flare wasn't even hung on the walls yet ... but already smitten with the space.

good gilt

still grooving on gold, having touched on it back in September in my { gold digger } post.

i am specifically intrigued by the gold leafed and crafted quality of the gold surfaces in this series of inspiration images ... and as with the reemergence of brass ... gold is modernized with matte, brushed surfaces.

happy valentine's day

tealing turquoise

so refreshing and calming, i love these { tealed turquoise } inspiration images. the translucency of the color is made modern as the hue is enhanced when light shifts it's placement. this color is truly seasonless, and ideal inspiration for spaces where calming and retreat are a desired vibe.
